Retreat Reflections

May 20, 2013

On a lovely hillside overlooking a sparkling lake, the stressed, frazzled, overtired Young (ahem) Woman spent two days surrounded by friends and fabric.

She finished stitching a project for a class.

She made two pillowcases for donation to a women's shelter.

She completed five more blocks on her Jelly Roll Sampler quilt. (And did a little jig over only having three more to go!)

And she led the "Beach Fun Challenge" for those who wanted to play along. Here are some folks who did.*

(There was one more person who participated and I thought I had a picture of her project but couldn't find it on my phone this morning. Sorry!)

And this is all the Young (ahem) Woman is showing of her beach challenge project, as it is doing double-duty for the Project Hope Online Quilt Show...to be revealed later.

She returned home Sunday afternoon happy with her progress, and completely decompressed.

A good time was had by all.

(*Young -ahem- Woman will talk about the retreat challenge in her next podcast episode.)
